OVERVIEW
The Glens Falls City School District in Glens Falls, New York, implemented theĀ Reading Horizons Discovery (RHD)Ā curriculum, featuring the science of reading-based Reading Horizons (RH) method, during the 2023-2024 academic year with 325 K-2 students across 21 classrooms.
Program Details:
The RH method delivers systematic, explicit, and engaging phonics instruction through a multisensory approach grounded in Orton-Gillingham principles.
Outcome
This study provides results to satisfy ESSA evidence
requirements for Level III (Promising Evidence) given
that the study demonstrated 12 positive, statistically
significant findings.
