Jonathan Diaz is the Head of Technology at Reading Horizons, where he combines his passion for advancing literacy with his love of technology innovation. With over 12 years of experience building education technology products and a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, he enjoys shaping big-picture ideas and turning them into practical strategies that make a real impact for teachers and students. Collaboration and creative problem-solving are at the heart of his work, and he’s passionate about empowering others to use their expertise to bring great ideas to life.

When he’s not tackling big challenges at Reading Horizons, Jonathan can be found running, playing basketball, or working out—activities that keep him grounded and energized. For him, it’s all about finding ways to make a difference, both through his work and in the world around him.

Why are you passionate about working for Reading Horizons?

I am passionate about leveraging innovative technology to help others improve their lives, especially in underserved communities. I believe the right technology can bridge gaps and empower individuals to achieve more than they otherwise could. My wife and I share a deep passion for reading—it’s a fundamental part of our family’s identity. At Reading Horizons, I have the privilege of combining both of these passions, making a meaningful impact while working alongside incredible people.
