Reading Horizons Review: Madeline Lee

I have a student who struggled severely with reading. She had major dyslexia and was frustrated when she read. I had her use Reading Horizons at school once or twice a week for 15 minutes. I suggested to her grandmother who was raising her that it would be beneficial for this student to use this program at home on her own time for 20 minutes at least three times per week. The grandmother was diligent in having this girl work on the program each week. At the end of the year, the student said to the rest of the class, "Hey, that program really works! It's helped me read so much better! At first I hated using it, but then I started noticing that it was helping me. I'm glad I used it."  

Her commitment to improve her reading was apparent in the classroom. Along with this student's reading instruction in class, using Reading Horizons as a supplemental program greatly enhanced her reading performance. Her self-confidence was improved through this experience.
